Wednesday, 10th March 2010 (1288 views) Gold coins are continuing to be a popular choice for consumers in the US, as one numismatic expert has revealed that coin inventories are "moving well", with premiums increasing.Harry Miller, writing for Numismatic News, said that US Gold Eagle coins are proving to be a particularly popular choice, with a five per cent premium increase on the numismatic pieces noted. He added that he thinks the gold coin market is now set to enter a particularly positive phase. Mr Miller's comments come after it was recently announced by the UK Royal Mint that a set of limited-edition £1 gold coins are going to be launched in honour of Britain's four capital cities. Each gold piece will feature the traditional coat of arms of all of the cities, with the obverse of the coins displaying a depiction of the Queen. The London coins will be minted initially, followed by Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff.
