Purchasing gold jewellery for a loved one this Valentine's Day could prove to be a fashionable choice, according to one manufacturer.

SRS Jewels, when launching its new range in time for the special occasion, stated that unique gold jewellery may be "the best option to show your loved ones your affection".

The collection features both contemporary and traditional designs of gold bracelets, earrings and brooches, with one piece that particularly stands out being a gold flower cuff bracelet.

It could be that gold jewellery is a popular gift this Valentine's Day, as it has been suggested that retailers will see sales of the precious metal soar in the run up to the event.

Jewellery specialist Love To Have It advised that it experiences an annual rush of shoppers searching for a romantic gift around this time of year.

Similarly, CBS News recently reported that yellow gold jewellery could prove to be a memorable present.
