Friday, 6th November 2009 (387 views) A jewellery designer is to launch an exclusive range of gold pieces at an upcoming gala for a non-profit organisation.New York-based Judith Ripka will create a jewellery bar featuring a number of 18-c gold designs at a fundraising auction for drug safety and parents' rights organisation Ablechild next month. The gala - which is taking in place in Greenwich, Connecticut on December 2nd - will see Ms Ripka showcase pieces from her gold couture collection, as well as creations from her standard gold range. Ms Ripka's eponymous company is a multimillion-dollar firm that aims its creations at the luxury market. Her designs have been worn by stars such as Debra Messing, Lucy Liu, Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, Vanessa Williams and Tiny Fey, among others. A range of her 18-c gold pieces - including a number of cuffs costing up to $55,000 (£33,124) each - were featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar earlier this year.
