Thursday, 18th June 2009 (1354 views) A jewellery brand has chosen the English city of York to host one of its first stores.Pandora will be opening a shop in Low Petergate tomorrow (June 19th), the Press in York reports. Manager Ayesha Walker explained that a range of pieces will be on offer, including 18-c gold rings, necklaces and earrings. "Previously, Pandora has only had boutiques within other shops and this shop in York is going to be one of the first Pandora 'concept' stores to open," she was quoted as saying. Customers are being offered a free gift with every item purchased tomorrow and Ms Walker expressed confidence that the store will perform well despite the economic downturn. A total of seven jobs have been created by the move, with the manager heading up a team of three full-time and three part-time staff. Last week, National Jeweler revealed that Perrywinkle's Fine Jewelry in the US state of Vermont had become the latest retailer to feature a special Pandora section.
