A new range of jewellery inspired by Hollywood actresses has been created in the US.

Gold pieces are among the items that have been produced by Carol Brodie and will be offered by retailer HSN.

Entitled Rarities: Fine Jewelry with Carol Brodie, the range will be introduced on June 21st.

Ms Brodie has created items for Oscar-winners such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon and Halle Berry, as well as working with a range of jewellers in the past.

Commenting on the new line, chief executive of HSN Mindy Grossman said: "Carol's unmatched expertise and passion for jewellery will resonate with our customers as they look for affordable ways to enhance their own personal style."

A recent auction in Los Angeles saw a number of Oscar-winning actresses donate pieces of their own gold jewellery in order to raise money for the charity Stars For A Cause, with Bonhams & Butterfields hosting the event.
