Wednesday, 20th May 2009 (1263 views) Babette Wasserman has created a range of cufflinks for Aquascutum that includes gold designs.The jewellery designer has been working with the fashion label to develop a number of "stylish" items for "the discernable man who enjoys luxury, good quality and classic designs with a twist", Retail Jeweller reports. Launched for autumn/winter 2009, the cufflinks are made from hand-cut crystal stones and the precious metal. Ms Wasserman trained at Central St Martin's College of Art in London, launching her own jewellery and cufflink collections in 1997. British luxury label Aquascutum's new seasonal range features "elegantly-tailored, modern city pieces" inspired by the style of Terence Stamp in iconic 1960s film The Collector. Meanwhile, a pair of gold cufflinks and a gem-set tie pin salvaged from the wreck of the Titanic are part of a new US touring exhibition of items linked to the famous vessel, which sank in 1912 after hitting an iceberg.
