Kate Winslet has revealed that she wears a gold ring given to her by friend and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Oscar-winning actress, who appeared opposite DiCaprio in Titanic, told Flare magazine that the ring was given to her by the actor shortly after they completed filming on recent hit Revolutionary Road.

She explained that it is engraved on the inside by her onscreen husband, adding: "I'm not going to tell you what it says".

Winslet, who wears the gold jewellery item alongside her wedding ring, said that her husband Sam Mendes, who directed Revolutionary Road, became close to DiCaprio during shooting.

The star won a Golden Globe for her performance in the movie, in which she played the wife in a troubled marriage during the 1950s.

Meanwhile, a pair of gold cufflinks is currently touring the US as part of an exhibition of objects salvaged from the wreck of the Titanic.
