Wednesday, 6th May 2009 (1545 views) A British man dressed as a knight proposed marriage to his long-term girlfriend with a gold ring.Adele Maxwell, 30, had asked Scott Brown more than a year ago when he was going to be her "knight in shining armour" and propose. Her partner of four years recently rode into the Chapel pub in Cotford St Luke on a black horse, dressed in a suit of armour. Mr Brown, 31, went down on one knee, presenting Ms Maxwell with a gold engagement ring as she had coffee with friends in the village near Taunton, Somerset, having planned the proposal for five months. Speaking to the BBC, she described her white gold engagement ring as "perfect" and "gorgeous". In other news, more than 20 items of gold jewellery were recently discovered in an ivy bush on Church Road in Yatton, north Somerset and police are now attempting to trace the owner.
