Tuesday, 5th May 2009 (1381 views) A jewellery specialist who has worked for Tiffany & Co has presented some of her designs to the British Museum.Elsa Peretti has donated a number of her gold jewellery items to an exhibition taking place at the museum in London, the Telegraph reported. The show marks the 35th anniversary of the collaboration between the award-winning designer and the fine jewellery house. Running from May 1st, the exhibition features many of the most iconic pieces produced by Ms Peretti, including those inspired by nature and organic forms such as the gold 'bean' necklace. A special edition Elsa Peretti gold and black jade pendant has been launched by Tiffany to mark the event. Ms Peretti is a former model who studied jewellery design in Rome and now works from New York, having collaborated with Tiffany since 1974. Meanwhile, the British Museum is also currently running an exhibition entitled The splendour of Isfahan: coins from Iran until July 5th 2009.
