Kate Winslet has been photographed wearing an elegant gold necklace and bangle as she shopped with her daughter Mia in New York City.

The Oscar winning actress was snapped carrying a shopping bag and wearing a dark blue dress, sunglasses, a long cardigan and gold jewellery, according to Sawf News.

Ms Winslet, who recently won her first Oscar for her performance as Hanna Schmitz in The Reader, wore dazzling Chopard jewels to the award ceremony.

The 33-year-old is married to director Sam Mendes, her second husband. Mia, eight, is her daughter from her first marriage to Jim Threapleton.

In other news, L'azurde Company has unveiled a new advertising campaign for its 2009 creative collection in Dubai.

Starring singer Elissa, who is working as the company's ambassador for the third year in a row, the adverts feature gold masks made in Venice and are themed around a masquerade party.
