Friday, 17th April 2009 (1529 views) Ralph Lauren has launched a new collection of luxury timepieces with the Richemont Group.The designer has created three ranges of watches, with mechanical movements for the timepieces supplied by Piaget, Jaeger-LeCoultre or IWC and a series of designs available in 18-c gold, the National Jeweler Network reported. Ralph Lauren has collaborated with the Richemont Group to produce the watches, which are currently available from Polo flagship stores under the Ralph Lauren Watch and Jewellery Company brand. The joint venture is expected to grow over the coming years and to expand into the gold jewellery market in the future. Guy Chatillon, Ralph Lauren Watch and Jewelry Co chief executive, said: "Our first objective is to establish a credible limited distribution worldwide, in selected markets with the best independent retailers." In related news, a number of watches from top brands such as Cartier, Hermes, Mont Blanc and Louis Vuitton will be sold at a charity auction during the Monaco Yacht Show in September this year.
