A number of golden jewellery items are at the centre of the Kaminski Auctions spring sale.

Highlights of the event include a gold pin estimated at $7,200-$8,200 (£4,800-£5,500), which features an octagon-cut amethyst at its centre and comes in a fitted box from Jay's Diamond Merchants of London.

A white gold convertible pin made of two interlocking pieces will also be sold at the auction.

Frank Kaminski, owner of Kaminski Auctions, commented: "We're pleased to offer such a wide selection of jewellery and precious metals. These timeless pieces make solid investments as tangible assets become more reliable than stock certificates."

The sale will take place on April 25th and 26th at Woodman's Function Hall in Essex, Massachusetts.

Based in Beverly, Massachusetts, Kaminski is an antiques and fine art auction house specialising in estate services.

In other news, 400-year-old gold coins discovered during construction in Oxfordshire are expected to sell for around £50,000 at auction when they are sold in London on June 9th.
