Thursday, 9th April 2009 (4130 views) Thousands of people have attended the first day of the MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show taking place in Sharjah this week.Now in its 26th edition, the United Arab Emirates exhibition runs from April 7th to 11th at the Expo Centre Sharjah and the number of visitors to the event is expected to increase by 15 to 20 per cent compared to the previous event. An array of gold gifts and high-value prizes are being offered to attendees of show, including gold jewellery items. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, director general of Expo Centre Sharjah, commented: "Though we have distributed gifts and prizes to the visitors to the show in its previous editions, the bonanza we are offering now is unprecedented." More than 450 exhibitors feature at the 26th MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show, with fine gold jewellery on display from around the world. Countries with pavilions at the show include Thailand, Italy, India, Hong Kong, Lebanon and Singapore.
