Wednesday, 4th March 2009 (2649 views) Gold jewellery, including fine pieces made by Cartier, has been placed on display at the sixth Doha Jewellery & Watch Exhibition in Qatar.Over 170 pieces of fine and contemporary jewellery are on show on the Cartier stand, including a one-off ceremonial necklace made for the Indian prince Maharajah Bhupindar Singh of Patiala by the jeweller in 1926, according to AME Info. Cartier also showcased new timepieces, such as the 18-c gold Ballon Bleu Flying Tourbillon which demonstrates a "new approach to fine watch making" by the jewellery house. The company claimed that the items on display at the Doha Jewellery & Watch Exhibition 2009 "formed an amazing inventory of extraordinary works of art, bursting with imagination". In other news, Damas Jewellery has announced that it is debuting the Endless Collection from Italian jeweller Luca Carati, which represents "purity of creative expression and gold form", at its stores in Dubai.
