Piaget has announced the launch of its new Limelight Paradise luxury watches and jewellery collection.

The firm has created a collection that is intended to "evoke the world of sailing" and adventure, with maritime knots and ropes, according to Haute Horologie.

A white gold and tourmaline necklace is inspired by the underwater world, gold watches are set with mother-of-pearl and a pendant and earrings feature a coral motif.

Comprising around 71 pieces of jewellery and 11 watches, the collection includes the 18-c gold white gold Piaget Polo Tourbillon Relatif watch with grand feu enamelling and the 18-c white gold Limelight 'Secret' watch inlaid with mother-of-pearl, diamonds and yellow sapphires.

In other news, Bulgari unveiled a new 18-c gold timepiece, the Bulgari Sotirio Bulgari watch, in February this year to mark its 125th anniversary.

Just 125 examples of the watch will be available from September this year in white, yellow and rose gold, according to Vialuxe.com.
