Friday, 20th February 2009 (1936 views) Longines has presented a new gold watch to Chinese film star Aaron Kwok at the Berlin Film Festival this month.The Swiss watchmaker claimed that the presentation marked a "long-standing relationship" with China, with the first Longines watch was shipped to the country in 1867, according to the Moodie Report. Kwok, currently starring in film Empire of Silver about the Qing Dynasty, has been a Longines ambassador of elegance since 2005 and has been given a rose gold Longines Master Collection Retrograde by the company. A new part of the Longines collection, the watch was exclusively developed for the firm and comes with a series of retrograde functions and a movement with automatic rewinding. Meanwhile, a gold watch that once belonged to former US president John F Kennedy is to be auctioned in New York next month and is expected to sell for more than £200,000. A gift from supporters David and Evangeline Bruce, the timepiece was also owned by Jackie Kennedy's second husband Aristotle Onassis.
