An Indian gold jewellery company offered customers the chance to meet Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan over the 2009 Valentine's season.

D'damas unveiled a range of romantic gold jewellery items during February and selected one customer who purchased an item from its collection between February 8th and 10th the opportunity to talk to the actor, according to Idex Online.

Khan met with the winner of the D'damas contest as he was promoting his forthcoming film Billu.

Mehul Choksi, Gitanjali Group chairman, commented: "After the festivals and the wedding season, Valentine's Day is also an other important day in our lives."

A joint venture between Gitanjali Group and Dubai-based Damas, D'damas is a popular Indian jewellery brand with points of sale in more than 130 towns and cities across the country.

Each items of the company's stylised and contemporary gold jewellery comes with a certificate of authenticity and hallmarking.
