A number of stars selected gold items from Neil Lane jewellery for the 2009 Grammy Awards, the Californian company has announced.

Singer LeAnn Rimes opted for two large gold and white topaz cocktail rings from Neil Lane Jewelry, while fashion stylist Lauren Zappa donned a gold ring, gold multi-stone earrings and a gold bracelet.

Other famous faces wearing Neil Lane Jewelry to the 51st annual Grammy Awards included television presenter Samantha Harris in gold bangles and bracelets, a large turquoise, diamond and gold ring as well as gold chandelier earrings, while model Marissa Miller sported a citrine with a gold necklace and earrings.

Based in Beverly Hills having trained as a painter at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, jewellery designer Neil Lane recently told the Herald de Paris that he believes people are moving towards more classical, elegant and understated pieces of jewellery in response to the economic downturn.
