Bulgari has unveiled a new gold timepiece to mark its 125th anniversary.

The Bulgari Sotirio Bulgari watch is crafted from 18-c gold and 125 examples of it will be available from September 2009, according to Vialuxe.com.

Versions of the anniversary timepiece have been created in white, yellow and rose gold, with a 42mm case that contrasts polished and satin finishes and an exclusive self-winding movement.

According to the luxury watch brand, the 125th anniversary watch is the first in the new Sotirio Bulgari watch collection.

Bulgari plans to mark the 125th anniversary of its founding with a collection of 15 pieces of fine jewellery and eight timepieces, with an estimated total value of €3 million (£2.66 million), which will be officially presented on June 4th 2009 in Rome.

Created 125 years ago by Greek jeweller Sotirio Bulgari, the firm specialises in Italian fine jewellery that is inspired by Greek and Roman art with a contemporary feel.
