Jeweller Sevan Bicakci has unveiled his new Mythology collection of gold jewellery at a special event in his boutique in Dubai.

The Turkish designer has brought the new range to the Middle East and is previewing it at the boutique in Wafi, Dubai.

Inspired by Mount Ida in north-west Turkey, the Mythology collection comprises 70 pieces and is available from the Sevan Bicakci Boutique in Wafi City.

"It only takes to take a walk around the summit of the Mountain to start hearing the Olympians whisper their stories into your ears," Mr Bicakci said.

The jeweller believes in "inspired, hand-crafted design" and his work combines a range of techniques that reflect the past with high-carat gold.

Sevan Bicakci started work at the age of 12 at his master Havsep Catak's workshop and he launched his first personal collection in 2002, inspired by the Grand Bazaar and Sultanahmet area of Istanbul.
