Friday, 9th January 2009 (1933 views) A number of world famous jewellers have donated gold items to an international charity wine festival in Florida.Items that will be auctioned off for the Naples Children & Education Foundation as part of the three-day Naples Winter Wine Festival include a $50,000 shopping spree at the famous Tiffany & Co Fifth Avenue store. "These are statement jewellery pieces donated by the finest jewellers in the world," Connie Galloway, co-chair of the 2009 festival, stated. Chopard has donated an 18-c white gold ladies watch from its Happy Palme collection, while two Cartier American tank watches and two 'Love' bracelets will also be auctioned. Each item of jewellery comes complete with a unique experience provided by the company, for example the winning bidder of an 18-c white gold Profumo necklace by Bulgari will receive a trip to Rome as guests of Paolo and Nicola Bulgari and Francesco Trapani to attend the 2009 High Jewellery Gala. A recent auction of jewellery designed by top contemporary artists and jewellers held at Sotheby's in London on behalf of charity the NSPCC surpassed its low estimate and generated £114,325, including a top bid of £18,750 for a 22-c gold and enamel ring by Anish Kapoor.
