Thursday, 8th January 2009 (1822 views) A couple who uncovered a gold ring lost in 1978 have now reunited it with its owner Dan McCaghren.Dr McCaghren lost his gold 1960 high school class ring almost two decades after graduating from Rylie High in Texas, the Dallas Morning News reported. The 66-year-old family counsellor and psychiatrist, who now lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, stated that he never thought he would see the ring again. However, Larry and Lucretia Cornelison in Douglass, Kansas, found the ring while planting flowers near their home and managed to track down the owner. Dr McCaghren has now been reunited with his ring, having moved in 1978 to Tulsa when it was lost. "He just about cried when he got it," Mr Cornelison told the newspaper. "It just made everybody's day." In December 2008, a woman in Wales was reunited with a gold ring she had lost under floorboards at a chapel 35 years ago.
