Krishna Pearls & Jewellers has launched a store at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, India.

The shop stocks a range of gold jewellery and is located in the domestic departure area of the airport near Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

Viswanath Attaluri, chief commercial officer of GMR Hyderabad International Airport, commented: "Hyderabad has always been referred to as the 'city of pearls' and the establishment of this store at the airport adds value to the shopping experience of passengers."

Based in Hyderabad, Krishna Pearls & Jewellers produces a range of innovative fine gold jewellery studded with pearls and precious stones.

Founded in 1983, the company has eight showrooms and a number of hotel outlets around Hyderabad in addition to the new Rajiv Gandhi International Airport store.

In other news, Kozhikode-based Malabar Gold has opened a new Mine store specialising in bridal jewellery in Kochi, Kerala with Mahendra Brothers.
