Monday, 8th December 2008 (1705 views) A gold ring that was lost 35 years ago has finally been reunited with its owner after it was discovered under the floorboards of a chapel.Presented to Carys Williams by her parents as a birthday present, the gold signet ring was dropped between cracks in floorboards at the Moriah Chapel in Gwyddelwern, north Wales, when she was 16. The ring was found by workman dismantling the chapel after Ms Williams, now a 51-year-old mother-of-two, contacted contractors to see if she could retrieve it. Workers sifted through soil to unearth the gold ring and said they were delighted to have found it. Ms Williams, from Corwen, Denbighshire, is now wearing the ring she lost as a Sunday school pupil. Meanwhile, an 18-c white gold ring has been donated in a Salvation Army kettle outside a supermarket in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
