A set of 18-c gold earphones have been placed on display in Bristol.

Designed by jeweller Casa Gi and hailed as the most expensive earphones in the world, the pair of gold and diamond-encrusted devices reportedly provide an exceptionally clear sound and are very comfortable to wear.

The earphones, which are on sale for £3,499 at Clive Ranger jewellery shop, have a standard jack to fit most MP3 players and computers.

According to the Telegraph, each earphone has been carefully crafted in gold weighing a total of 18 grams.

Richard Slack of Clive Ranger told the newspaper: "We have the only pair of Casa Gi earphones in the UK and they are currently in pride of place in our shop window."

Based in Belgium, all Casa Gi jewellery is in 18-c gold in white, pink and yellow and is finished by experienced goldsmiths using a combination of traditional and modern techniques.
