A gold exchange programme has been launched in Dubai as part of the Eid religious celebrations.

ARY Exclusive, a loyalty card offered by the ARY Group, has announced the promotion as part of the Eid-in-Dubai programme from the country's government.

Customers can take advantage of several offers, including exchanging their old gold for new at the firm's jewellery outlets.

"Eid-Al-Fitr is a festival of sharing and giving and we are extremely delighted to be part of this fantastic initiative by the Dubai government," commented Mohammed Iqbal, vice chairman and chief executive in office.

He added that as Eid is celebrated through both prayers and the exchange of gifts, the company was able to "live the true spirit" of the religious holiday.

The Eid-in-Dubai initiative has been announced in a bid to promote the city as a top destination to visit during the celebrations - and strengthen its image as the cultural hotspot in the Middle East.
