Designer gives advice on wedding jewelleryThe news feeds on this site are independently provided by Adfero Limited © and do not represent the views or opinions of the World Gold Council. Monday, 8th September 2008 (2120 views) A jewellery designer has offered advice on wedding and engagement rings.Neil Lane - who has created pieces for several celebrities including Gwen Stefani - told Brides.com that newlyweds should not wear mismatched rings. He advised that if an engagement ring is made of white gold, then the wedding ring should be of the same metal. The size of the ring is down to personal preference, he stated. Yet he warned: "Visually if you have a small engagement ring and an extraordinary large wedding band, it doesn't work." There is a growing trend for couples to have the date and time of the wedding inscribed on their rings, he added. Meanwhile, singer Beyonce Knowles has been pictured showing off her wedding ring, estimated to be worth around $5 million (£2.84 million). She married rapper Jay-Z in April and publicly wore the ring for the first time at the Fashion Rocks event currently being held in New York.
