Wednesday, 6th August 2008 (2024 views) A long lost gold watch has been returned to its owner, thirty-two years after it disappeared, according to the Prince George Citizen.Barney Skakun was given the watch by the Greyhound Bus organisation in 1974 in recognition of ten years of safe driving. A couple of years later, however, the watch disappeared. Yet this week the surprised 68-year old received a phone call from a man asking if he'd lost a watch. Mr Skakun said: "The man said he bought the watch at a pawn shop here in the city and contacted me when he saw my name engraved on the back." The wind-up watch bears a small Greyhound logo on its face and is still working after more than three decades of being separated from its owner. Greyhound Bus was first founded in 1914 in Minnesota by a Swedish man named Carl Wickman. Currently the cheap transport system connects over 3,700 cities and towns in the US.
