A white-gold watch has been created to help raise funds for charity, reports Jewelers Circular Keystone Online.

The limited edition Pink Ribbon Cat's Eye watch was designed by luxury watchmaker Girard Perregaux.

It will be the first watch ever to go on sale to help fight breast cancer - proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Along with a pink satin strap, the watch has the universal symbol for breast cancer - the pink ribbon - on the caseback.

Each time piece will cost $44,390 (£22,583) and only 11 have been made.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is a charity which provides funding for research into finding a cure for breast cancer.

In April this year the organisation held the music and fundraising event, the Hottest Pink Party Ever in New York.

While Elton John entertained the guests with his band, stars such as Elizabeth Hurley, Gwyneth Paltrow and Tommy Hilfiger also went along to help raise cash for the charity.
