John S Brana is to launch a new SoMa ring collection featuring blue topaz, green amethyst, yellow and rose gold gemstones.

The collection, which has been worn by former supermodel Janice Dickinson and singer Natasha Bedingfield, will include hammered earrings and link necklaces, a copper set and 14K and 18K gold rings.

The jewellery maker lives in San Francisco and bases his designs on the local neighbourhoods. His collections are called Barbary Coast, Monterrey, Nob Hill, Sonoma, Sear Cliff and Pacific Heights.

John S Brana's new range is an extension of his rings in the Pacific Heights collection which features large faceted solo gemstones in 14K gold and silver settings.

His previous collections feature faceted gemstones, fresh-water pearls, vermeil beads, Venetian glass, hand-carved semi-precious and precious gemstones from Europe, Asia, and United States.

Before setting up his jewellery business in 2003 he was vice president of finance for the Charles Schwab corporation and worked in legal and banking jobs.
