Friday, 13th June 2008 (2317 views) New designers have showcased their original gold jewellery designs at London Jewellery Week, according to Reuters.The first ever London Jewellery Week, June 11th to June 15th, attracted new talent along with established jewellery creators such as Theo Fennell, Stephen Webster and Shaun Leane. Michael Hayman, the chief executive officer of the Communication Group which organised the week, said: "This event profiles London as a global destination for jewellery design." Artist Tracey Emin, Princess Beatrice and singer Bryan Ferry were among the celebrities that attended the exhibition. Running along side the London show was the Discover Jewellery Show which exhibited collections from 20 Green Street, London, boutiques. Organisers for the Dubai International Jewellery Week, which runs in November, announced this week the details of the show. The shopping experience is expected to bring together "500 brands from 30 countries and over 20,000 visitors, designers, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers".
