A special gold jewellery collection inspired by artist Gustav Klimt is set to be unveiled at the Tate Liverpool in the UK tomorrow night.

The Tate is hosting a special Klimt exhibition until the end of August as part of Liverpool's 2008 Capital of Culture celebrations.

David M Robinson has created a special range inspired by the Viennese artist to mark the jeweller's 40th anniversary, the Liverpool Echo reports.

An exclusive preview of the collection will be hosted at the Tate on May 5th, alongside a VIP tour of the exhibition and a champagne reception.

Displayed alongside Klimt's paintings and drawings is the work of architect and designer Josef Hoffman, who was a close friend of Klimt.

The Liverpool Echo has teamed up with David M Robinson to run a competition giving someone the chance to win a pendant set from the collection.

Inspired by the serpents Klimt often incorporated in his work, the Serpentine is an 18ct white gold diamond pendant set worth £700.
