Thursday, 10th April 2008 (2578 views) A new collection of gold pendant watches that for the first time combines the jewellery and watch-making skills of Italian designer De Grisgono has been launched at the BaselWord conference in Switzerland.In total, there are 11 jewellery pendant watches in the collection and according to De Grisgono, each one has a "unique, irresistible design". Watches are available with 18ct casings set in yellow gold, pink gold, brown gold and gold that has been specially blackened using a coating technique known as physical vaporisation and deposition. Each piece also comes with a semi-setting 'star' design or a complete paving of white or brown diamonds, emeralds or pink sapphires, the company said. In addition, each lightweight watch - models in the collection vary in weight from 38 grams to 45 grams - comes suspended on an 80 cm long solid gold chain. BaselWorld is a week-long watch and jewellery show featuring over 2,000 exhibitors. It is attended by over 100,000 wholesale companies and retailers.
