Tuesday, 8th April 2008 (2316 views) A gold "repeating watch" and a timepiece owned by the hero of the Battle of Trafalgar, Admiral Nelson, are among the items on display in a new exhibition of the personal watch collection of tomato ketchup magnate HJ Heinz, according to reports.A total of 28 pieces from the collection of the German-born Pittsburgh businessman and inventor of the world-famous Heinz tomato ketchup will be available to view at the Time Machines exhibition being held at the city's Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Huliq.com states. They include the gold watch - complete with figures that strike the hour - and a music box timepiece that includes a feathered, "singing" bird. The Heinz Collection, which Mr Heinz donated to the museum in 1917, is considered one of the most significant groupings of timepieces in the United States, the site adds. HJ Heinz founded what would become the company that still bears his name in 1876. He introduced its famous '57 varieties' slogan and remained the corporation's president until his death in 1919.
