According to the Brazil-Arab News Agency, she already exports these pieces to France, Argentina, Spain and the United States - and now she is targeting the Arab world's jewellery buyers. "I am very much interested in negotiating with the Arab market. I am certain that my pieces are going to be immensely successful there," Ms Goes told the site. Her latest collection, Alfama, includes earrings and necklaces whose designs are inspired by nature. Ms Goes has already taken part in two international jewellery fairs - Bijorcha in Paris in 2006 and 2007 - and hopes to attract Arab importers with her future showcases. Sales of luxury goods such as gold jewellery are currently booming in many parts of the Arab world, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) spending the most on consumer items - $84 million (£42.26 million) in 2006, according to UAEinteract.com.
