Friday, 4th January 2008 (4529 views) Marylynne Thomas, a reader of the Cynon Valley Leader newspaper in Wales, has won its annual Christmas prize, which consists of £1,000 of gold jewellery.The Clogau Gold jewellery collection, containing earrings, a necklace and a bracelet, is part of a range entitled Heavenly Golden Teardrops. Inspired by a design style called Tree of Life, the set features delicate vines and leaves and can be worn by women of all ages, Roger Scull of A Lea Jewellers told the newspaper. "I love jewellery, especially Clogau gold," said Mrs Thomas, who plans to sport the matching set while on holiday in Spain with her husband, Roger. Hundreds of entries were made to the competition, which was sponsored by A Lea Jewellers. Situated in Aberdare town centre, the company sells a variety of Clogau gold producrs, including rings and pendants. It also exclusively carries the Hot Gold jewellery line, as well as many other ranges.
