Gold jewellery on display in ColoradoMonday, 31st December 2007 (2520 views) A collection of 18-carat gold jewellery inspired by ancient Greek artefacts is currently on display in Vail, Colorado, the Vail Daily newspaper has reported.Crafted by Athens-educated jeweller Konstantino Sioulas, the gold items are collectively known as the Konstantino Treasures and are famed for their combination of hammering, etching and stone selections, as well as their painstaking attention to detail. Each piece in the collection was originally designed and created in Greece and combines gold with ancient coins and gemstones to fuse modern and Old World styles. Inspired by the work of artists from the ancient Greek and Byzantine periods, Konstantino Sioulas has also been influenced by travels through Europe and the Far East. According to ShoppingBlog.com, the most in-demand items designed by the jeweller can be purchased at US retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. The Konstantino Treasures will be on display until January 7th at the Cogswell Gallery, which is located in Vail Village.
