Gold expos to be held in Saudi ArabiaThursday, 15th November 2007 (2621 views) Saudi Arabia is set to host two gold and jewellery exhibitions in February 2008, according to Bahrain's Gulf Daily News.The first of the two exhibitions, which are both to be run by Midway Fairs and Conferences, will take place from February 20th to 23rd at the Prince Sultan Grand Hall of Riyadh's Al Faisaliyah Hotel. A second exhibition will be held at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel beginning on February 26th and lasting until February 29th. Waseem Exxo, chief executive of the conference company, told the newspaper that there is a "huge purchasing power" for gold in the area. "The Arabian Gulf markets are the quickest to grow in the world in gold and jewellery trade," he said. According to Mr Ezzo, Saudi Arabia has an annual gold and jewellery trade volume of $7.2 billion (£3.52 billion). Earlier this year, the city of Jeddah played host to many tourists from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries during its annual 45-day summer festival.
