Dubai retail event boosted by jewellery demandThursday, 8th November 2007 (2510 views) Based on previously-recorded attendance at Dubai International Jewellery Week, this year's event is adopting a new three-show format, according to AME Info.Formerly known as Watch and Jewellery Dubai, the tailored event is expected to attract gold jewellery buyers from North Africa and India. The Middle Eastern business resource reported that in addition to the Areeq Dubai high-end jewellery display, the December event will also include the Jewellery Collections Dubai sale and the Jewellery Trade Dubai trade show. Gold jewellery sales in Dubai are estimated to top six billion dirhams (£775.6 million) each year and gold companies such as Pure Gold Jewellers are set to showcase their latest products at the new Jewellery Collections Dubai Sale. "Our latest inspirations will highlight striking white and gold jewellery beautifully," managing director of the jewellery company Karim Merchant told AME Info. Jewellery Collections Dubai is set to run at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from December 11th to 15th, while Jewellery Trade Dubai will take place from December 11th to 13th.
