Gold eyewear on sale in LondonWednesday, 15th August 2007 (3233 views) Gold eyewear will be among the items available to buy at a private sale to be held by Paul Yaxley Luxury Eyewear in September.The event, on September 5th, will be at London's Royal Exchange in Threadneedle Street. White, yellow and rose gold frames will be up for sale, the Harley Street-based company has announced. "Spectacles are jewellery for the face and our private sale gives discerning individuals an unparalleled chance to obtain high quality gold eyewear, with some rare and unusual pieces that will enhance their personal style," qualified optician Paul Yaxley said. Porsche Design, Gold and Wood, Lotos Gold and Lindberg Precious are among the European designers whose glasses the company has said feature among the collection that is up for sale. Prices of the spectacles begin at around £1,000 and go up to £10,000, while Mr Yaxley will be on hand to advise potential purchasers about their acquisitions. It was recently revealed that jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co will be taking its gold fashion jewellery - as well as the rest of its range - to a new store in Japan, according to Fibre2Fashion.
