Jewellery show to hit IstanbulMonday, 9th July 2007 (2743 views) An international jewellery show is set to hit Istanbul, Turkey, this September, it has been revealed.The Jewellers Circular Keystone (JCK) reports that the International Jewellery and Equipment Fair is to be held at the Istanbul Expo Centre from August 30th to September 2nd and will feature gold jewellery. According to its organisers, the Istanbul Jewellery Show aims to enhance the business traffic around the jewellery manufacturing base and supply hub of Turkey. The JCK reports that Turkey is the third largest manufacturer of gold jewellery in the world. "Turkey exports gold jewellery to 140 countries. The US is its largest consumer, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Russia, Germany and Israel," the JCK notes. Istanbul Jewellery Show 2007 is expected to attract over 15,000 trade visitors and 650 local and international exhibitors. In March, the show drew in 1,056 exhibitor companies 445 of which came from external countries and 611 of which were local companies.
