Friday, 6th July 2007 (4586 views) Gold plating is becoming more popular in a number of areas, according to a UK-based firm.Laban Roomes, the founder of GoldGenie, said that the market place for gold-plated products extends across mobile phones, golf clubs, bathroom taps and jewellery. The entrepreneur states that there are a number of business opportunities in gold plating and is currently selling his Goldgenie Pro900 Digital gold plate machine to allow others to take advantage of them. "Entrepreneurs can now get into the gold business at low cost and with minimal risk," he argues. Bolton-based Tracy Littler, 35, has also established her own gold plating business and argues that people who follow suit could potentially make £500 a day if they are successful. Ms Littler is now looking at larger clients, stating that her next potential, and "lucrative", client.
