Following reports that he presented actress Angelina Jolie with a personalised gold pendant last week, Brad Pitt has continued the trend by gifting his girlfriend with a gold ring on her birthday.

Reportedly, the Ocean's 13 actor filled the actress' home with flowers and cooked her a meal before presenting her with the gold ring which featured the birthstones of their four children, five-year-old Maddox, three-year-old Pax, two-year-old Zahara and one-year-old Shiloh.

It has been suggested that Pitt is looking to show his support for Jolie following the death of her mother earlier this year.

"He cooked an amazing dinner. She was so excited - she talked about Brad's gifts all day," a source told US Weekly.

For Pitt's birthday, Jolie indulged his passion for architecture, taking him on a guided tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater house in Pennsylvania.

It was previously reported that Pitt gave the actress a gold pendant with a poem inscribed inside which included a portrait of their three-year-old adopted son Pax.
