Gold Jolie jewels set to be auctioned for charity

Tuesday, 12th June 2007 (2839 views)

A yellow gold Bochic diamond necklace and earring set worn by celebrity charity crusader Angelina Jolie is to be auctioned for a good cause, it has been revealed.

Bochic is reportedly giving the gold jewellery to Charity Folks to auction off, with proceeds going to UNHCR programs in Chad for refugees from the Darfur region, according to Luxist.

The gold items were worn by Jolie at the Golden Globes, while other celebrities, including actress Hilary Duff and singer Macy Gray, have been photographed wearing gold made by the designer.

According to Luxist, the gold necklace and earrings are made in a vintage-style suite of rose cut diamonds and 22-carat yellow gold. The auction is due to run from June 19th to July 2nd.

Bochic stocks a number of collections, including Orient, Mediterranean and Bohemian Chic brands.

Its Mediterranean range of jewellery features an Ionian bracelet priced at $44,000 (£22,300) which is designed to reflect the dramatic colours of the Ionian Sea with tourmaline, iolite and aquamarine round gem stones set in yellow gold.
