Friday, 8th June 2007 (6315 views) The World Gold Council and jeweller Damas are celebrating the success of a campaign to promote gold jewellery brand Farfasha to young people in the Middle East, it has been reported.According to AME news, the gold jewellery of Farfasha has already been popularised in the region thanks to Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram. The collection includes earrings, necklaces, anklets, armbands and pendants for young ladies. "The campaign has successfully created a new generation of gold jewellery enthusiasts best represented by our Youth Brand Ambassador Nancy Ajram," Moaz Barakat, managing director of the World Gold Council for the Middle East, Turkey and Pakistan told AME. Me Barakat added that the campaign most likely reflected the first time that a gold jewellery brand has focussed on feelings of the youth. Furthermore, AME reports that within the first two months of the Generation Gold campaign more than 100 kilograms of gold have been sold.
