Wednesday, 6th June 2007 (4658 views) Recently retired Canadian footballer Carl Kidd is lamenting the loss of his Grey Cup winning championship ring, it has been revealed.Kidd, who won the Grey Cup twice with football team BC Lions, has admitted that he lost his 2000 championship gold ring while on the road, the Vancouver Sun reports. The football player's remaining 2006 championship ring is a 65 gram gold band mounted with a half carat, football-shaped, diamond according to the Canadian newspaper. Miran Armutlu, president of Intergold told the Sun that the ring, valued at CAN $10,000 (£4.7,000), is the most expensive Grey Cup ring that the Calgary ring design company has ever had to design. "I lost it on the road and I've been searching for it ever since hoping it might come up on eBay," Kidd told the newspaper. He added: "If it does, I hope that person will give me a call." Kidd attended the University of Arkansas and has three children, he retired from Canadian football this year.
