Jewellery retailer Damas has announced that a so-called auspicious offer is currently underway that offers customers the chance to get their hands on a pearl necklace.

Aimed to coincide with the Akshaya Trithaya, which is a significant date in the Hindu calendar, the offer is available to anyone that makes a jewellery pre-booking with the firm before April 18th.

According to Mr Anaggh Desai, chief executive officer of Damas India, his company pride themselves on accommodating Indian women's propensity for jewellery. And due to the auspicious nature of Akshaya Trithaya, it has obtained the nickname 'gold purchasing day'.

He went on to declare that "it has always been our endeavor to be a part of every celebration in the life of the Indian women thereby providing a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary designs and finest range of jewellery to suit their tastes and preferences".

Damas' flagship store is located in Bangalore in India and was established in 2005. In addition, the company can chart its roots back to 1907.
