Friday, 19th January 2007 (3622 views)

Newly designed 24-carat Swiss made gold coins and bars have been introduced by India's Kotak Mahindra Bank today.

Gold Eternity is the name given to the products that are endorsed by Assay certification to prove their authenticity and purity.

Swiss company Produits Artistiques Metaux Precieux (PAMP) manufactures the new range of coins and bars and the former come in weights of five and eight grams while the latter is available to the consumer in either a 20, 50 or 100 gram form.

KVS Manian, head of retail liabilities and branch banking at Kotak Mahindra Bank, said: "Gold Eternity will now enable us to offer this product to a larger customer base in a convenient manner."

"Gold performs the function of a wealth preserver in a portfolio," Manian continued.

PAMP claims to be the leading refiner of precious metals in the world as well as the most prestigious and as well as manufacturing for Kotak Bank, has also been recognised for its service by the Swiss National Bank, the London Bullion Market Association and the Tokyo Commodity Exchange.
