Theo Fennell's golden ChristmasMonday, 15th January 2007 (3497 views) English society jeweller Theo Fennell has enjoyed record Christmas sales due to this year's equally large City bonuses as well as the high-spending of the Russian diaspora in London. Theo Fennell is largely a celebrity jeweller who can count Elizabeth Hurley and Elton John among clients who are attracted to its colourful and flamboyant designs which often incorporate gold and diamonds. Richard Northcott, the company's chairman, said that recent sales had been "exceptional" with the average purchase rising from £1,500 to £2,300. He said: "We have successfully achieved two years of strong growth and are at the early stages of development into an international brand." Indeed new branches have opened in Dubai, Moscow and Hong Kong with expansion into the US planned. The upmarket jeweller, whose flagship store is in Chelsea, is now creating his own perfume due to be launched in February and set to be an unashamedly feminine fragrance. At the moment the store's newest line is the 'Arts Collection which featured a gold heart necklace and an orange sapphire pendent. Prices start at £595.
