'Bling' is set to be the new trend in gold jewellery over the next 12 months, according to the latest designers.

Gahan Kala, featuring a whole host of new jewellery pieces and trends has been organized by ShowBizz India. The exhibition is being held at Delhi's Hotel Taj and includes a number of leading jewellery makers showcasing their latest collections.

Manmeet Singh, president of ShowBizz India, speaking to Express India, explained: "We have 30 stalls in total and the jewellers have come from Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and the city itself. The attraction is that they all are providing their jewellery without retail margins. The designs will surely impress one and all."

Among the new trends, leading jeweller Ziva is exhibiting a unique collection featuring eye-catching pieces decorated with bright diamonds and rubies, while Thailand's Alta is focusing on high-crafted sparkling designs.

Many customers are also being tempted by the designs from Jaipur-based Jewel Ace and the jeweller's sales of gold bangles are continuing to reach high levels as buyers also show support for more traditional pieces.
